Snow ogre?

A 9-foot-tall snowman appeared on the Quad following Tuesday’s spring blizzard, and at least four people were observed rolling the base ball, which looked nearly as tall as they were.

“Must be doctoratal students,” one passerby said.

“Hunh?” his companion asked.

“You know, P-H-D students . . . Piled Higher and Deeper.”

By Wednesday morning, the finished product towered over students passing to classes in the middle of the Quad. But sunnier skies and forecasts of temperatures in the 60s by the weekend spell a short future for this Snow Ogre.
