MOUNTAIN HOME, Idaho—Idaho State Police are reporting that an 18-year-old USU sophomore was killed in a crash with two semi-trailers on Interstate 84 near Mountain Home Saturday night.

Police reports say Taylor Sauer, a USU sophomore and elementary education major from Caldwell, Idaho, died at the scene after colliding with two trucks around 9 p.m.

Sauer’s Saturn Vue ran into the rear of a slow-moving truck, the police accident report says, and then was hit by another truck, which then ran off the highway. The accident occurred 13 miles from Mountain Home.

The driver of the second semi was injured and taken to Elmore Medical Center in Mountain Home.

Idaho authorities were still investigating the accident Sunday.
