‘Hosni Mubarak’ speaks to JCOM reporters

Students participate in a news simulation with Salt Lake Tribune reporter Matthew LaPlante, who played outgoing Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak in a press conference with student journalists representing a Twitter news organ, the Financial Tribune of Egypt, a general circulation newspaper, and a news outlet of Egyptian Freedom Fighters.
In less than 40 minutes, students reported the press conference from the Egyptian president, followup interviews on cell phone with other officials, and posted updates—the Twitter team had more than a dozen bulletins within 10 minutes—to inform four diverse audiences.
It was wild.
