LOGAN -– Charged with a first-degree felony of forcible sodomy, Hal Lavaun Weston, 46, of Laketown, appeared in 1st District Court Monday.

Weston’s attorney, Shannon Demler, said they have no resolution to the case and asked Judge Clint Judkins for a two-day trial. The pretrial is scheduled for Aug. 13 and a jury trial was set for Aug. 30-31.

On Jan. 20, Weston was employed as a technician at Logan Regional Hospital’s emergency room when he was caught performing a sexual act on an unconscious male patient. He was arrested and booked into the Cache County Jail.
