Logan police cite woman on suspicion of assault, domestic violence
November 5th, 2011 Posted in OpinionLOGAN- Nineteen-year-old Amanda Hubble was arrested on suspicion of assault and domestic violence in the presence of a child by Logan City Police Department early Friday morning. The counts are both class B misdemeanors.
Hubble was contacted by officers after having been accused of domestic violence by a 22-year-old male from Logan. Logan city patrol officers spoke to the victim after observing him on the street going through a duffle bug, appearing to be very distressed, said Lt. Brad Franke. When approached the victim said that he had been in a dispute with his “baby’s mama” and that she had hit him over the head with a glass item. Franke said officers observed that he had a raised bump on his head and broken glass on his sweater.
Officers found Hubble at her residence in Logan. “She said there had been a dispute about the man coming from a bar. She said he kicked her, and she broke a glass picture frame over his head,” Franke said.
Officers issued her a citation for the incident involving the frame. “Because she had children in the house, she was issued a citation and not booked into jail,” said Franke.
Hubble is required to appear in Logan Municipal Court Nov. 15.
