LOGAN–A Logan resident was sentenced Tuesday to pay a $100 fine in lieu of serving five days in jail for keeping a disorderly house, a violation of Logan City Code.

Dominguez Nurivan, 29, pleaded guilty to the Class B misdemeanor Tuesday. Nurivan was cited for a disorderly house at 1392 N. 260 West on Nov. 20 just after midnight by a Cache County Sheriff’s deputy.

Nurivan said at the arraignment at Logan City Justice Court that he and his friends were planning on going to a party and they had loud music turned on.

Judge David Marx said since Nurivan had not been charged for this violation before, he would allow Nurivan to pay the fine instead of going to jail if he did so by Dec. 15. Marx said if Nurivan fails to pay the fine by that time, he will serve five days in jail.
