Men in women’s shoes step out to combat sex abuse

Dozens of USU students—especially men hoofing it in a wide array of women’s footwear—marched a mile-long course around the USU campus this week to protest sex abuse. Squeezing their feet into high heels and flats and hot-pink t-shirts, the men and their female “Blister Sister” supporters set out to Walk a Mile in Her Shoes.
Carrying purses, donation buckets and signs reading “Rape Hurts All of Us” and “I Am Man Enough to Walk a Mile in Her Shoes,” the participants struck a blow against sexual violence on behalf of USU’s Sexual Abuse and Anti-Violence Information (SAAVI) office.
