Photo essay: Holi Festival

Hundreds of Hindu faithful and others wanting simply to celebrate Spring gathered last weekend for the annual Holi festival of colors at the Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork. Described as “undoubtedly the most fun-filled and boisterous of Hindu festivals,” the event focuses on joy, music, dance and somewhat unrestrained play. Bright colors are an important part of the celebration, as Dana Ivins discovered.
