Chuckie Keeton is back.
The Utah State University quarterback, who missed a majority of last season due to an injury he suffered against Wake Forest University, participated in all drills and took the majority of first-team reps during Monday and Wednesday’s spring ball practice sessions, which kicked-off Monday at Romney Stadium.
“It felt good to just get out there and play again,” Keeton said. “I am feeling better this spring ball than I did at the beginning of this last season.”
Keeton was limited during spring ball last year due to an ACL tear he suffered against BYU. Keeton said he is looking forward to completing this spring ball with full participation.
“Chuck looked good out there,” said Darell Garretson, who also plays quarterback for Utah State. “He’s moving pretty good on his legs.”
Keeton said he is excited to be back for one more year at USU and wants to do his best to bring Utah State a Mountain West Championship. Spring ball and the summer workouts will prepare the team for this tough regular season, he said.
Spring practices will continue through March and will go a little bit into April.
