LOGAN–A 19-year-old Logan woman pleaded guilty Wednesday to selling marijuana to a drug task force informant last October.

Jessica Rose Lofland waived her right to a preliminary hearing at her 1st District Court appearance. The charge was lowered to a class A misdemeanor from the original second-degree felony in exchange for the plea.

When Judge Thomas Willmore asked if she had had enough time to speak with her attorney, Bryan Galloway, Lofland said she believed so. Willmore desired a more direct answer.

“When you tell me you believe so, that’s not a yes or no,” Willmore said. Lofland replied she had ample time with her attorney, and entered a plea of guilty.

Lofland also told the judge she was on antidepressants, but they did not affect the clarity of her thought process. Lofland is scheduled for sentencing the morning of May 31.
