LOGAN—Colten Lindsay, 18, of Mendon was arrested on suspicion of possession and distribution of drugs and alcohol after a routine traffic stop early Sunday morning.

Lindsay was driving on a suspended license Sunday morning when he was spotted by Deputy Groves of the Cache County Sheriff’s Office, according to Chief Deputy David Bennett. Bennett said Groves knows Lindsay and knew that his license had been suspended because of drugs, so he pulled him over. There were several male minors in the vehicle, Bennett said.

“When someone gets arrested for a suspended license the car is impounded, because obviously they can’t drive it,” Bennett explained. He said that when Groves performed an impound inventory before the wrecker arrived, he found evidence of drugs and alcohol.

Lindsay was booked into the Cache County Jail on suspicion of distribution of cocaine, a first-degree felony; distribution of marijuana and possession of cocaine, both second-degree felonies; two class A misdemeanors, six class B misdemeanors and one class C misdemeanor. His bail is just under $49,000, Bennett said.
