MILLVILLE–A proposed personal property boundary re-alignment was discussed at the Planning Commission meeting Thursday. Dave Hair, a local resident, drew a diagram of his property and the plan to change the boundaries on a chalkboard.

Hair wanted to move the boundaries so that he could sell a duplex he owned near his house. The changes would move the frontage from the front to the right side of the house.

“He’s really making it better,” Commissioner Lynette Dickey said. Commissioner Jim Hart explained that Hair’s presentation and suggested changes were appreciated, but not necessary.

“There’s nothing in that scenario that requires a license of any kind,” Hart said. “There’s nothing for us to approve, there’s nothing for us to deny either.”

Hart explained to those present that Hair was a former commissioner, and was probably showing the plan to the commission as a courtesy. “You didn’t have to do that,” Hart said, “but it’s good that you did.”

Since there was nothing to vote on, the commission acknowledged Hair’s presentation. In other business, the commission reviewed the Millville City Council minutes and set their next meeting for Nov. 3.
