LOGAN — A 33-year-old Perry man pleaded guilty Nov. 25 in 1st District Court to misdemeanor charges connected with an incident Nov. 10.

According to court documents, Kit Moser made a plea bargain with Judge Brian Cannell, pleading guilty to driving with a measurable amount of controlled substance, a class B misdemeanor, and failure to stop at the command of a law enforcement officer, a class A misdemeanor. The remaining charges were dismissed.

At the pretrial conference, prosecuting attorney Aaron Jossie recounted what happened during Moser’s arrest. He said Moser’s car was parked at a gas station when Utah Highway Patrol officers ran his license plate number and discovered the car’s registration was overdue. When the officers approached Moser he would not identify himself and attempted to flee on foot. At the time of Moser’s arrest he was using methamphetamine, Jossie said.

Moser was released from Cache County Jail where he had been held since his arrest and ordered to appear again in court Jan. 6 for sentencing.
