MILLVILLE–A request for a zoning clearance for a storage shop was approved at the Millville Planning Commission meeting on Thursday night.

A resident requested a zoning clearance permit so that he can build a storage unit. The structure will have no electricity or plumbing. The commission discussed the decision of no electricity.

“He doesn’t want electricity because he just wants the building to store his toys,” Brett Peterson said. Peterson attended the meeting on behalf of the resident requesting the permit.

“If he wants to change that in the future, it won’t be hard. He’ll just have to get the permits then,” Planning Commissioner Jim Hart said.

Pat Bowen will be the commission’s representative at the city council meeting Nov. 18.

The next planning commission meeting will be held Dec. 2 unless a building permit is requested, in which case the commission will meet Nov. 18.
