Utah attorney general spokesman comes to USU

LOGAN—Utah State University’s Public Relations Student Society of America will welcome Paul Murphy, director of communications for Utah State Attorney General Mark Shurtleff, to campus next week.

Murphy will present, “Pushing the Limits in Communications through Social Media” Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. in USU’s Merrill-Cazier Library, room 154. All are invited and refreshments will be served.

“We are excited to hear from such an experienced communicator,” said Jesse Dredge, president of USU’s Public Relations Student Society of America. “It doesn’t matter the major, we can all learn how to better use social media.”

Murphy has been communications director for the Utah Attorney General’s office for 10 years. He helped develop the Endangered Person Advisory for the state and the Amber Alert program.
