Workplace accident hospitalizes Schreiber employee

LOGAN–An employee of Schreiber Foods was hospitalized Oct. 23 after an early morning accident at work. Lacerations to his head and chest left the 29-year old man bleeding but conscious, said Logan City Police Department Captain Tyson Budge.
The man was working at Schreiber’s at about 2:40 a.m. when he was pinned by the piece of machinery he was using, Budge said, and a coworker called police. Fire department medical personnel also arrived on the scene and transported the man to Logan Regional hospital.
Schreiber Foods’ Human Resources department did not return calls for comment.
